Bill Cunnane, CPA/MBA, began his recruiting career in 1980, specialized in tax recruiting in 1982, and formed Boyce Cunnane, Inc., in 1987. He has recruited tax professionals at every level: from recent graduates of the top graduate tax programs, law schools, and LLM programs, to partners in Big Six CPA firms and directors in major corporations. His clients include corporations, CPA firms, and law firms across the nation.

In 1982, Cunnane was the National Director of Tax Recruiting at Touche Ross and was based in the National Tax Offices in New York City and Washington, D.C. In 1985, he became National Director of Tax Recruiting in the Office of Federal Tax Services at Grant Thornton, also in Washington. These experiences make Cunnane perhaps the only tax recruiter in America with direct exposure to the tax community at three levels: as a practicing CPA, as an "in house" tax recruiting specialist at two major CPA firms, and as an executive recruiter serving clients nationwide.

Bill Cunnane is Boyce Cunnane, Inc. Though he relies on researchers and associates to identify candidates, to build and update our extensive databases of tax professionals, and to assist in our mailings and contacts, Cunnane works directly with each client-corporation or individual professional-on a personal, one-to-one basis. Through almost twenty years of professional experience, Cunnane has come to know tax, and tax recruiting, better than anyone. During his career, Cunnane has had the opportunity to work with and to understand every recruiter in the country, from large retained firms and national contingency organizations to smaller tax recruiting practices.
